Several injured during avalanche in New Hampshire

An avalanche was reported late Thursday evening at Tuckerman Ravine in North Conway, NH. Between six and nine people were said to be on the mountain at the time of the incident, several of whom were injured transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital, according to a spokesman from Berlin Fire Department.

“It seems like they are all off the mountain,” said firefighter Jonathan Larin. “I noticed that about three or four ambulances from both Gorham and Jackson were utilized.”

The condition of those injured was not immediately available.
