Anti-Islam Film: Million-Man Protest planned across the Muslim world.
Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has called for a million-man march in the capital, Cairo, where police have again clashed overnight with protesters near the city's American embassy.
Demonstrations are also due to take place in Sudan, after state-backed Islamic scholars urged people to "defend Prophet Mohammad".
Salah el Din Awad, general secretary of the scholars' group in Khartoum state, said: "We have 5,000 mosques in Khartoum with two million people attending Friday prayers.

Guatemalan Volcano Erupts 30.000 ordered to Evacute
More than 33,000 people are fleeing a sudden volcano eruption in Guatemala City.
Guatemalan emergency officials say the evacuees are leaving 17 villages around the Volcano of Fire, which sits 10 miles (16 km) from the city of Antigua.
The volcano is almost always active at a low level and smoke can often be seen billowing from its crater. But larger eruptions are generally rare.
Seismologists say a series of explosions have also been seen coming from the 12,346-ft-high (3,763-metre-high) volcano and lava has spewed 2,000ft (600 metres) down its slopes.
Thick clouds of ash can be seen billowing nearly 2 miles (3km) into the sky and rumblings were heard for several miles around.
Gustavo Chicna, a volcanologist with the National Institute of Seismology, Vulcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology, said: "A paroxysm of an eruption is taking place, a great volcanic eruption, with strong explosions and columns of ash". Read More

We no longer have Habeas Corpus, which requires a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court. Or the right to petition government for redresses of grievances (the right to make a complaint to, or seek the assistance of, one's government, without fear of punishment or reprisals). Richard Ciminio: Naked, Bloody Man Gnawed On Woman’s Head During Wild Neighborhood Rampage in Yet Another Bizarre Cannibal Attack
The bizarre incident played out in the early morning hours of September 7th in Hawley Boro, which is in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
According to investigators, the incident began when 20-year-old suspect Richard Ciminio Jr. parked his car behind a home on Hudson Street, got out and stripped down to his underwear.
State Police say Ciminio then tried to break into a home, but was unsuccessful. Police say Ciminio then took off his underwear and continued down Hudson Street and broke into an unoccupied home.
While inside that home, police say Ciminio walked up to the home’s second floor and jumped out a window, causing severe injuries to his arms and legs when he hit the ground.
Bleeding profusely at this point, Ciminio then encountered two females who were walking down the street.
State Police say Ciminio tackled one of the females, causing injury to her and covered her in his blood. Investigators say Ciminio then “began to gnaw” at the victim’s head while “screaming like an animal.” more
Construction elevator free falls 30 floors, killing 19 workers in southern China
The official Xinhua News Agency says the accident happened Thursday in Wuhan city in Hubei province.
A government notice posted by local Wuhan newspapers on their official microblogging sites says the elevator fell 100 meters (328 feet).
It says the municipal government is halting all construction in Wuhan for security checks.
Work safety is a big problem in China, where regulations are routinely ignored. Although the government says it is taking measures to reduce fatalities, more than 75,500 people died in work-related accidents last year, according to the State Administration of Work Safety. Read More
Mystery fever scrub typhus surfaces in Hyderabad, India
Doctors, initially unsure of the diagnosis, treated patients with regular antibiotics but have now realised that the cases are of Scrub Typhus, a mite-borne fever, commonly reported in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and parts of Maharashtra. This is the first time the fever is being reported in such large numbers in Andhra Pradesh and doctors attribute it to deforestation.
The fever managed to flummox doctors who put their patients on the best of antibiotics and tests for weeks together but in vain. They later identified this fever through the skin lesions on the patient's bodies. Experts note that scrub typhus patients are bitten by mites carrying a bacteria found in rodents and develop a eschar (a black wound) on the body. Read More
Nine injured after Bees attack in Bawku, Ghana
Residents of the Central Business District of Bawku on Tuesday were sent running for cover when the bees emerged to sting them.
Speaking to on an Accra based radio station, the Bawku Municipal Chief Executive, Musa Abdulai said the Assembly will meet immediately to undertake a spraying exercise that will drive the insects away.
“What we intend to do as a short term measure is to quickly spray around all those areas with very strong insecticide so that it will drive them into the bush rather than making them go in the town,” he said.
Hon. Abdulai further mentioned that those who had sustained injuries as a result of the attack had been sent to the Presbyterian Hospital for treatment. Source
4 killed as Yemeni police, demonstrators clash at U.S. Embassy
Sanaa, Yemen (CNN) -- Violent clashes outside the U.S. Embassy in Yemen's capital left four protesters dead, Yemeni security officials said Thursday.
Twenty-four security force members were reported injured, as were 11 protesters, according to Yemen's Defense Ministry, security officials and eyewitnesses.
Protesters and witnesses said one protester was critically injured when police fired on them as they tried to disperse the angry crowd.
The protests in Sanaa are the latest to roil the Middle East over the online release of a film produced in the United States that denigrates the Prophet Mohammed. Read More

A radical group called the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement led the demonstration, according to the Times of Israel.
A top Israeli Arab Knesset official warned of “Armageddon” if the United Nations does not intervene.

Tuesday’s attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya that left American ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans dead seems now to have just been the beginning. The uprising has spread throughout the Middle East, with protesters now in Egypt, Iran, Tunisia, Morocco and Afghanistan. Protests were finally quelled in Yemen, where demonstrators breached the perimeter of the U.S. Embassy in Sanaa.

Protester Killed At US Embassy in Yemen
Up to 5,000 protesters stormed the US compound in Sanaa as anger about an anti-Muslim film spreads in the Middle East.
Hundreds got past two police barricades and managed to get through the main gate into the compound. They were then driven back by security forces firing weapons into the air.
It comes as US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sharpened her criticism of the anti-Islam video that provoked the protests, calling it "disgusting and reprehensible".
She said that it is a cynical attempt to offend people for their religious beliefs, but added that it does not justify violence.

U.S. consulate in Berlin partially evacuated after suspicious delivery
Television footage showed investigators in special protection suits at the building and staff waiting outside.
"The lady felt unwell and reported a metallic taste in her mouth," the police spokesman said.
A spokesman for the fire services, who were also at the scene, said three people had reported breathing difficulties.

Millions of dead fish washed up in salt lake confirmed as the source of rotten egg stench in Los Angeles
Investigators collected air samples in 10 locations in the Inland Empire, Coachella Valley and Salton Sea and the tests confirmed the 376-square mile lake, about 150 miles southeast of Los Angeles, was the source of the foul odour.
At the start of the week, the South Coast Air Quality Management District received a barrage of complaints all the way to LA about the overwhelming rotten egg smell but the number of people calling up had dropped significantly by Tuesday lunchtime.
'We now have solid evidence that clearly points to the Salton Sea as the source of a very large and unusual odor event,' South Coast Air Quality Management District executive officer Barry Wallerstein told the Los Angeles Times.
AQMD investigators sent officials all over the region in an attempt to track the stench after being flooded with 200 complaints spread over an area of 10,000 square miles. The air samples that they recovered were found to contain hydrogen sulfide.
But experts were amazed the stench was able to travel all the way to LA. They believe a powerful storm over the weekend helped blow the fumes from the southeast to the city. Read More

The last assassination of an American ambassador was in Afghanistan, more than three decades ago.
However, the killing of Mr Stevens, who died alongside three other US embassy officials, cannot be written off as an isolated incident.

Warren Weinstein: Al Qaeda Releases New Video of American Hostage
KABUL – Al Qaeda has released a new video of American hostage Warren Weinstein delivering a personal message to Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu.
In the video, Weinstein, 71, believed to be held in the tribal regions along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan, appears healthy and calm, speaking in a soft, controlled manner.
"Unfortunately President Obama and the American government have shown no interest in my case," Weinstein says in the video, seated on a chair with his back slightly slouched, wearing a thin white t-shirt.
"Therefore, as a Jew, I'm appealing to you, Prime Minister Netanyahu, the head of the Jewish state of Israel, one Jew to another, to please intervene on my behalf."
Weinstein, a former Peace Corps and USAID official, was kidnapped from his home in an upscale neighborhood in Lahore in August 2011 after gunmen tricked his security guard into letting them enter the premises. Read More

Officials say one destroyer, the USS Laboon, moved to a position off the coast Wednesday, and the USS McFaul is en route and should be stationed off the coast within days.
The officials say the ships, which carry Tomahawk missiles, do not have a specific mission. But they give commanders flexibility to respond to any mission ordered by the president.
The destroyers have crews totaling about 300.
There have been four destroyers in the Mediterranean for some time.
These moves will increase that to five.
Officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss troop movements.
It is believed that the attack, which occurred on the 11th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, was a planned ambush carried out by terrorists using a pro-Islam protest as cover.
The victims died during a rocket attack when an armed mob set fire to the consulate in Benghazi after joining a protest over a 'blasphemous' film about the Prophet Mohammed.
It is believed a 'small, vicious group' of attackers used the protest as a diversion, although questions remain over whether the killers drummed up support for the march or simply took advantage of it, an official told CNN.
While it is not known exactly who was responsible for the rampage, a London think tank with strong ties to Libya said Stevens, who is not believed to have been targeted, could have been the victim of a revenge attack by al Qaeda.

Iraq execution spree under the spotlight
Stories of torture are also coming from released prisoners and human rights investigators, which directly contradict the claims of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government.
A spate of executions were carried out last month. Three women were among 21 prisoners executed on August 27 alone. Two days later, five more detainees were put to death. For its part, the government continues the ongoing trend of providing few details about the identity of executed prisoners, or the charges against them.
Sunni Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi - now in exile in Turkey - sent a letter to Iraqi President Jalal Talabani requesting his intervention "to stop the arbitrary and ever-increasing rate of executions in Iraq".
Days after al-Hashemi sent the letter, the al-Maliki government sentenced him to death in absentia for allegedly killing a Shia security official and a lawyer.

HOW NEGATIVE STATEMENTS FROM POLICE OFFICERS WERE DOCTORED
One of the most shocking aspects of today's report is the extent to which police statements were altered by South Yorkshire Police before they were submitted to the official inquiry.
The panel found that 164 police statements were altered, 116 of them to remove or alter 'unfavourable' comments about the policing of the match and the unfolding disaster.
This process was conducted by a small team of police officers on the authority of the Chief Constable.
The following comments by police officers were among some of those deleted:
- 'I at no time heard any directions being given in terms of leadership'
- 'I have to state that even at this stage and this location and with a number of higher ranks in the area nobody seemed to be organising the injured.'
- 'Sergeants and Inspectors appeared to be aimlessly milling about and direct radio control appeared to be lost. There did not appear to be any leadership.'
- ‘The Control Room seemed to have been hit by some sort of paralysis’
- 'Compared to other semi-finals held at Hillsborough, the organisation of this event was poor, as has been the case for most of the season.'
- 'There was no leadership at the Leppings Lane end following the disaster either in person or on the radio'

Known by the online moniker "Vile Rat," Smith was a major participant in the multi-player role-playing game Eve Online, which has a single online universe where hundreds of thousands of players interact together.
In real life, Smith served as an information technology specialist at the consulate and worked with U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who also was killed in the attack.
