William Davis who raped and killed teenager begs judge to execute him

A convicted killer begged a shocked jury to sentence him to death, saying he'd rather die than spend the rest of his life in prison.

William Davis, 34, who was convicted of kidnapping, raping and killing a 19-year-old Florida girl, pleaded to die saying: 'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a death for a death.'

The jurors are tasked with deciding the sentence for Davis today following his guilty verdict for first degree premeditated murder, kidnapping, armed false imprisonment and sexual battery of Fabiana Malave.

'There is nothing that I can do that will ever bring Miss Malave back to her mother and her sisters, and her cousins and her brothers, nephews, nieces, and I firmly believe that you should give an advisory sentencing recommendation to the judge giving me the death penalty,' he told the jury yesterday, according to CFNews13.

As the stunned jurors at Seminole County Court in Florida listened, Davis continued his impassioned plea to die.

'I do not want to, let me rephrase that, I will not do the next 40-50 years of my life in prison,' Davis said. Read More
