Tony Scott Jumped from a bridge in Los Angeles after leaving Suicide Note in his Car

Top Gun movie director Tony Scott has killed himself by jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles, according to a coroner in America.

The British film-maker, who is the younger brother of producer Ridley Scott, was seen parking his car on the Vincent Thomas Bridge and jumping into the water below at about 12:30pm local time.

The 68-year-old's body was recovered by police from the harbour.

The death of Mr Scott, director of Hollywood blockbusters including Top Gun, Days of Thunder and Beverly Hills Cop II, is not being treated as suspicious. Read More
