1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick' Video Helped the hunt for Magnotta Insists Site Founder....His Justification For Hosting Snuff Movies?

As the gay porn star dubbed the Canadian Psycho was finally arrested after an international manhunt, calls emerged for the website where he apparently posted of video of himself killing his ex-lover to be prosecuted.

Lawyers suggested that BestGore.com, the horror site which hosted a snuff video which appeared to show Luka Rocco Magnotta hacking up his former lover Jun Lin, could fall foul of Canadian obscenity laws.

But the site's founder defended himself, insisting that the video had helped the hunt for Magnotta and noting that he had taken the video down himself after a widespread outcry.

The row over the sickening '1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick' video came after the alleged killer was arrested in Berlin while reading news articles about himself in an internet cafe.

In the aftermath of Magnotta's arrest, internet lawyer Gil Zvulony told The Province he thought Best Gore could be liable for its role in the bizarre saga.

He argued that after the site was alerted to the nature of the video it was hosting, it should have acted quickly to take it down - or the police should have stepped in to force it to do so.

'There's no real crime where there's no knowledge,' he said, 'but once they got notice of that and they allowed it to stay on there, that's where a crime was committed in my view and police should have charged them.' Read More
