Jestina Mutare killed by crocodile in front of her son as they fished in Zimbabwe river

A mother was killed by a crocodile in front of her teenage son while she was fishing in Zimbabwe.

Jestina Mutare, 33, was standing in a river near her home when the beast lunged forward and dragged her into deep water.

Her 17-year-old son watched in horror as the reptile attacked his mother, according to a report in the government-controlled Herald newspaper.

Police spokesman Tineyi Matake confirmed parts of Mrs Mutare's body were found later floating in the stream following the horrific attack.

He said: 'The woman was fishing when she was attacked by a crocodile, which dragged her into the deep waters. Read More
