Father, son charged after 'gun brought to school'

Police have charged a Valley View man and his son, after the boy allegedly brought a loaded gun to his high school.

An anonymous caller to BankSA Crime Stoppers tipped police off, alleging that the 13-year-old boy from Modbury High School, in Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs, had brought the firearm to school.

Police then went to a house at Valley View at 7pm last night, and found a revolver and ammunition inside the teen's school bag.

The boy, and his 41-year-old father have been charged with possessing an unregistered loaded firearm, possessing an unlicensed firearm and insecure ammunition.
They have since received bail, and will appear in court on June 1. Source
