EU judge Now Demands Compensation for Customers over DELAYED Flights

Airlines should pay out compensation to passengers whose flights are delayed for more than three hours, a top EU judge claimed yesterday.

Advocate General Yves Bot argued airlines should compensate delayed passengers with the same amount of money offered to those whose flights are cancelled.

Rejecting a joint challenge by British Airways, easyJet and Thomson Holidays owner TUI, he advised the EU's Court of Justice that passengers on delayed flights should be entitled to claim compensation of between £200 (350 euros) and £480 (600 euros) depending on the distance they are travelling.
