James Allen Arrested after an off-duty officer spotted him by chance

A man suspected of killing two people in their own homes is arrested by police after an off-duty officer spotted him by chance this morning.

Police said James Allen, 36, was arrested on Crown Point Road in south Leeds at 7.20am after an officer, who was travelling to work, saw a man fitting the suspect's description.

Assistant Chief Constable Mark Milsom, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "They called for colleagues in support who arrived quickly and an arrest was made.
