Jesse Willms made $359m selling worthless drugs over internet to customers in UK and US

A conman who made $359m from selling worthless products on the internet to customers across the globe has reached a settlement with the U.S. Government

Jesse Willms, from Alberta, Canada, has agreed to settle a number of charges brought against him by the Federal Trade Commission in relation to himself and 11 other companies.

Willms is alleged to have used free trial offers to obtain credit or debit card details of nearly four million customers since 2007.

He then used the numbers to bill them for products or services they did not want or agree to purchase.

Products advertised by Willms included weight loss products, teeth whiteners and other health supplements.

He also marketed work-at-home schemes, free credit reports and a penny auction site, the FTC alleged.

The FTC found that customers who agreed to purchase a product were charged for the trial before a $79.95 monthly fee was added. Read More
