Reed Pond Bodies: Man Arrested After Two Bodies Found In Pond

A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the bodies of two men were found in a pond, according to Sky sources.

The bodies were discovered in Reed Pond, near Tennyson Avenue in Canterbury, Kent, on Monday.

According to Sky sources, the first body pulled from the water is understood to be that of a 17-year-old who went missing on Friday.

"Although there has been no formal identification, he is thought to be a young man named Hugo Wenn," Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt said.

The teenager apparently lived in Barham, a few miles from where his body was found.

"He went missing on Friday and his friends had launched a Facebook appeal page, disseminating information about him, asking for any sightings of him, using his photograph," Brunt continued.

The online appeal said Mr Wenn had been missing since 8pm on Friday night when he was supposed to meet some friends at the Blind Dog pub in Canterbury.

"He sent a text message saying he was there, but then another message saying he was leaving and this was at 8pm," it stated.

"This was all before any of his friends from the langton (Simon Langton Grammar School) had got to the pub, so none of them saw him there!" Read More
