A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has struck South of the Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at a depth of 41.1 km (25.5 miles), the quake hit at 22.:30:20 UTC Friday 30th December 2011.
The epicenter was 197 km (122 miles) Southeast of L'Esperance Rock, Kermadec Islands - 726 km (450.1 miles) Northeast of Ruatoria, New Zealand
