Thief robs cupcake store with a syringe full of 'AIDS-infected blood' - 27th July 2011

Police are searching for a man they say robbed a cupcake store armed with a syringe which he said was filled with 'AIDS-infected blood'.

The robbery happened at Gigi’s Cupcakes in Denver after a man who had been pan-handling outside moments before entered and told the clerk he would 'stick' a customer with the needle if she didn't open the cash register.

The thief got away with $300.

According to clerk Kendra Jackson, the suspect pulled out the syringe and threatened to stick a patron if another clerk didn’t comply with his demands.

She said: 'He had a syringe that he said was filled with blood that had been infected with AIDS and he said he was going to stick her if he didn’t open up the cash registers.'
