Flood threats southern German state, neighboring countries

The ongoing rain continues here in southern German state of Bavaria on Sunday, resulting in emergency to many parts and even to neighboring countries.

The flood situation worsened in much of southern and eastern Bavaria as a result of the week-long rain. The areas of the Danube and Inn are mainly affected.

In Passau, which lies at the joint point of the Danube, Inn and Ilz, the authorities expect a new record level of the Danube by early Monday morning. The old town of Passau is already under water. Some streets are cut off power supply due to security concerns
