Syria: Chemical Weapons Claims By Britain

Britain has given the United Nations new information about alleged chemical weapons use by the Syrian government.

If confirmed, the attacks would heap further pressure on Western countries supporting Syrian rebels to intervene in the conflict.

Britain's UN Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant said the UK sent a letter to UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon last week with information about the three alleged attacks, asking that they be included an ongoing UN investigation.
