Four days to save Cyprus: Politicians due to vote on emergency Bill to secure bailout before Monday deadline

Angry crowds demonstrated in Cyprus today as leaders battled to prevent total economic collapse in four days time.

Cyprus's top government spokesman has told reporters that 'the next few hours' will determine the future of the cash-strapped country.

Christos Stylianides added that MPs will have to take 'difficult decisions' later today - they are due to start voting on a series of bills that aim to raise the funds and avoid a bankruptcy that would send shockwaves through the European banking system.
