3 killed in anti-hanging protests in curfewed Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Two days after execution when the postman delivered the Tihar jail intimation letter to Afzal Guru's widow, Kashmir's divisional Commissioner had already distributed a compensation of one lakh rupees each to the three boys killed during anti-hanging protests. Many more are recuperating in hospitals.

Entire Kashmir is under curfew since Saturday morning. While Srinagar is calm, protests have continuously been taking place in Baramulla, parts of Rafiabad, Kupwara besides south Kashmir townships of Kulgam and Pulwama. Most of the injured are being treated locally but in six cases, the bullet hit were admitted to SKIMS in Srinagar.
