Paul Currie fighting for his life after being punched unconscious by speeding 4x4 driver he waved at in bid to slow him down

A father-of-three is fighting for his life today after he was punched in a road-rage attack by a driver he had asked to slow down.

The 40-year-old victim, named locally as Paul Currie, waved his arms at the driver urging him to kill his speed as he drove along the quiet residential street in Dudley, West Midlands, at 3pm on Sunday.

But the driver took exception to the man's gestures and pulled over in his 4x4.

He approached Mr Currie, who was making his way home from the pub where he had been playing in a darts league and floored him with a single punch - leaving him lying unconscious.
