Labour MP Emma Reynolds who is fluent in Spanish claims £650 expenses - to take lessons in Spanish

A Labour frontbencher has claimed more than £600 from the taxpayer for Spanish lessons – despite already speaking the language fluently.

New figures show that Shadow Europe Minister Emma Reynolds, who has been the public face of Labour’s opposition to an EU vote, has claimed £651 for Spanish lessons over the past year, even though on her website she claims to speak ‘fluent French and Spanish’.
