Death toll in Pakistan blasts rises to 122

The death toll in a string of devastating terrorist attacks in two restive Pakistani provinces today rose to 122 as authorities made special arrangements to airlift critically injured persons to the southern port city of Karachi for treatment.

A total of 88 people were killed in explosions that targeted a snooker club in a Shia-dominated neighbourhood of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, last night.
