Interplanetary hackers: Is Anonymous planning to hijack the Curiosity rover?

The Curiosity mars rover could be the next target for the Anonymous group of hackers, it has been claimed.

The group shot to fame when it brought down numerous websites including Visa and several US Government sites as a protest against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange's arrest.

Now it appears they may have set their sights even higher.

A New York security firm claims to have spotted a message on an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) asking for help to hack into the signals Nasa uses to communicate with the Curiosity rover.
