Chris Lighty Found Dead At Home

Hip-hop and rap mogul Chris Lighty, who managed stars including Mariah Carey, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Missy Elliott and 50 Cent, has been found dead in an apparent suicide.

The 44-year-old founder and boss of Violater Management was discovered at his home in the Bronx, New York, with a gunshot wound to the head on Thursday.

A 9mm handgun was found at the scene. There was no note and no sign of forced entry.

Authorities said the shooting appeared to be self-inflicted.

Lighty had been a part of the rap scene for decades, working with pioneers like LL Cool J before starting his own management company.

Scores of stars took to Twitter to pay their tributes to the industry veteran, including P Diddy, who wrote: "In shock."

Rihanna posted: "Rest peacefully Chris Lighty, my prayers go out to family and loved ones! Dear God please have mercy." Read More
