Six U.S. soldiers killed in roadside attacks in Afghanistan amid one of BLOODIEST weekends that claimed 29 lives

Six American NATO soldiers were killed in a bomb explosion in eastern Afghanistan on the same day as a slew of roadside bombs and insurgent attacks claimed a total of 29 lives..

The identities of the slain service members and the exact location where they were killed have not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin, according to NBC.

The Sunday deaths raise the number of NATO troops killed in the last two days to eight, making it one of the deadliest periods for collation forces in weeks.
