Russian hacker leaks 6.5 million LinkedIn account passwords on cybercrime forum

A Russian hacker has stolen more than six million passwords from work-oriented social network LinkedIn.

Security experts have urged users to change passwords immediately.

The information could be used to steal personal as well as corporate data - LinkedIn's login page uses an email address rather than a username, and many users share passwords across both.

LinkedIn has more than 150 million users. The social network Tweeted, 'Our team is currently looking into reports,' via an official account.

The alleged hackers posted an encrypted file alleged to contain the passwords onto a web forum into Russia. Read More
