Nasa's Dawn probe reveals surface details of huge asteroid Vesta invisible to the human eye

A new video taken by a NASA spacecraft shows the vast asteroid Vesta, the second-biggest in the asteroid belt, in dazzlingly bright colours.

The video shows the planet spinning around as it transforms into psychedelic purple and green hues with trance-like music providing the soundtrack.

The effect was created by putting high resolution colour images, taken by NASA’s satellite Dawn over a 3D model of Vesta, officials explained. Read More
