A 14-year-old girl is in police custody after allegedly stabbing her four-year-old cousin to death in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The girl has not been charged, but police say they expect to make an arrest soon.
The toddler was playing with his 11-year-old sister and his cousin at his grandparents' apartment on Saturday night when the teen attacked him with a knife.
She stabbed the four-year-old multiple times in the abdomen.
The teen then ran away, fleeing through the neighborhood. Police caught up with her shortly after the assault.
They found her walking a city street about four blocks from the apartment, covered in blood, WTHR-TV reports.
The toddler was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.
'Our detectives are leaning towards there is some type of intention,' Indianapolis polie spokesman Kendale Adams told the TV station.
