Rare white killer whale caught on video

Researchers have recorded video footage of the only known all white male orca in the wild.

Scientists from the universities of Moscow and St Petersburg have published video of the first-ever, adult, all-white orca bull.

The whale, filmed in the North Pacific, east of the Kamchatka Peninsula near the Commander Islands was named Iceberg by the scientists after they saw his large white dorsal fin breaking the surface.

Iceberg has been found to live in a family unit, known as a pod, with 12 relatives.
His pod is one of 61 identified social orca units in the region based on 12 years of research by the Far East Russia Orca Project (FEROP). Read More
