Preston Hodge, 14, beaten UNCONSCIOUS by school bully during dodgeball game that left him with broken bones and internal injuries

A teenager has undergone surgery after being beaten unconscious by a fellow student in an incident of school bullying.

The argument between Preston Hodge and a classmate reportedly broke out on Tuesday during lunch break in the playground when the boys were playing dodgeball.

A teacher broke up the fight at Longfellow Middle School in Enid, Oklahoma but it was unclear how long the beating had gone on for.

The student was battered unconscious and suffered broken bones, severe lacerations and possible internal injuries, according to KFOR-TV.

The 14-year-old had a plate inserted in his fractured cheek yesterday. He was said to be in a 'fair' condition by hospital staff.

The attack at Longfellow Middle School was 'a hate/bias incident' according to the campus police report. Read More

Sorry but this is not a case of bullying. Two young people arguing with each other over something stupid probably but both were riled up. The weaker one was beaten up. Wrong? yes. The boy should be brought up on charges but bullying by definition is a tougher more aggressive person terrorizing a smaller weaker or timid person for whatever reason. Arguing and yelling back and forth and both shoving each other shows that this was just a fight between to young males and one went too far.

If reported accurately, the beaten boy was just sticking up for himself.

Even if we don’t know who started it, one boy was beaten almost beyond recognition. He was beaten well after he stopped fighting. He was beaten savagely, to the point of serious injury. Somehow, I doubt the beaten boy was the aggressor.

Winning a fight is one thing, but battering a beaten opponent is another. The offender needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

The local posts have viewer comments that make it appear that the beaten boy is a bully himself...spit in girl's hair, etc. Might have been a situation where bad leroy brown met his match.

This wasn't a case of "bullying". It's felonious assault and attempted murder. It's also a racist hate crime. The victim would have been well within his rights, in almost every state of the US, but especially Oklahoma to have pulled out a gun and killed his attacker.

As it is, it's more than enough to send the attacker to prison for the rest of his life.

It's also a wake up call to whites. BUY A GUN. Get used to the idea that you are going to have to shoot black people dead in self-defense! Yes...your children obviously need to carry guns too.

In case you are living under a rock, blacks have basically decided it's open season to rape, rob, murder and assault others, especially whites.

All of them? No...there is always the RARE exception but it is MOST OF THEM. Over half of black men are arrested over their lifetimes for a serious, victim oriented felony. Over a third of blacks are so violent and out of control that they end up in prison some time during their lives. And understand that NOBODY goes to prison in this country unless they have a long, laundry list of violent crimes to their name. You see a black person...you better treat the incident like you are in the presence of a murdering, ravenous dog you might have to put down at any second. Because THAT is reality. And if you don't believe it, you are probably going to die horribly for your stupidity.
