Birmingham Knife Attack Leaves Man Critical: 3 Teens Arrested

A teenage girl and two boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed near Birmingham city centre.

Police found the victim collapsed on the pavement with multiple stab wounds after officers were called to Belgrave Middleway at 1am.

He is in a critical condition in hospital.

A search of nearby canals and railway tracks was carried out backed up by a police helicopter.

A girl and a boy aged 16 were arrested nearby along with a 15-year-old boy.

They were taken to police stations across the West Midlands where they remain in custody.

A knife was recovered which is being examined by forensic experts.

CCTV footage of the area is also being reviewed by police.

The motive for the attack is currently not known.

An area near to a church on Bristol Street remains cordoned off while a forensic examination takes place.

Bristol Street out of the city is currently closed and drivers should avoid the area. Read More
