Satara StrattonMissing small-town girl who went to Hollywood to follow her acting dream and 'became heroin addict' is found by police

Weeks after her family made her disappearance public, a troubled aspiring actress has been found alive.

Los Angeles police announced on Thursday Satara Stratton had been located in 'good condition' at an unspecified Los Angeles-area hospital, although they gave no specifics.

Growing up in Tennessee, where her mother worked as a university professor, Satara Stratton had dreamed of escaping to Hollywood to become a movie star.

But just eight months after the 24-year-old made the leap to pursue that dream, she was reported missing and believed to have been swept up in the city's seedy underworld.

Her mother Sharon Stratton, who has not heard from her daughter since November, believed she was addicted to heroin and under the influence of a registered sex offender. Read More
