'No sign' Syria carrying out peace initiative.....Any sign the Rebels have put down their Weapons?



(CNN) -- Even though Syria has signed off on a U.N.-backed peace initiative, activist groups said there's no evidence yet that the regime is carrying out the plan on Wednesday.

At least 15 people, including two military defectors, were killed on Wednesday as security forces fired shells and rockets, staged raids, and clashed with resistance fighters, the opposition Local Coordination Committees of Syria said. The group also is calling for urgent help to reach and treat people in Saraqeb, a city in Idlib province under assault from the forces of President Bashar al-Assad's regime.

"So far we haven't seen anything concrete to indicate the regime is implementing anything of the sort," LCC spokeswoman Rafif Jouejati told CNN. "As of 7:40 this morning, regime forces were still shelling Idlib, and it looks like the military deployment in parts of Aleppo is growing." Read More
