George Huguely the Lacrosse player accused of murdering girlfriend 'lied about where he was on the night she was killed'

A college lacrosse player accused of killing his ex-girlfriend had a 'blank stare' and lied about visiting friends on the night she died, a former teammate claimed yesterday.

Ken Clausen testified at the first-degree murder trial of George Huguely, 24, on the day the prosecution rested and the defence began.

Friends have testified that 22-year-old Yeardley Love, who was killed on May 3, 2010, had a jealous on-and-off relationship with Huguely, 24, when they were both students at the University of Virginia.

Ms Love was found in the bedroom of her Charlottesville apartment with bruises on her body and a battered right eye and neck. She died of blunt force trauma, an autopsy concluded. Her apartment building stood next to Mr Huguely's. Read More
