Robert D. King and Twin Daughters found dead in home

Sheets of plywood covered the windows of a home where a father and his twin three-year-old daughters were found dead Saturday.

Robert D. King, 40, and his twin girls Caroline and Madison were discovered by police, who were responding to a civilian call about suspicious deaths at the residence.

Authorities said earlier Sunday that they are investigating the deaths as ‘tragic.'

The modest, ranch-style home in a community near Richmond, Virginia belonged to Mr King.

His wife lives nearby in Hanover; their daughters had lived with her, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

Mourners placed flowers and other mementos like stuffed animals at the front porch of the home.

The final cause of death for the three will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner soon, NBC 12 reports. Read More
