Gelareh Bagherz an Iranian molecular scientist is shot dead outside her Texas home while talking on cell phone to ex-boyfriend .. Was she Executed?

Police are looking into whether a young Iranian molecular scientist shot dead in her car on Sunday night as she drove home to her upscale neighbourhood was followed by her killer.

Just after midnight, Gelareh Bagherzadeh, a 30-year-old genetics student who lobbied on behalf of Iranian women's civil rights, was struck by a single bullet that entered the passenger door window as she talked on the phone with her ex-boyfriend.

Her car then rolled into and smashed a garage door yards from her parents' home in a townhouse community just southwest of Houston, Texas.

According to police, someone walked to the passenger's side of the 30-year-old's car and shot her at point blank range.
A neighbour, who heard the sound of the shattering glass, found the car with the engine still running and called the police. Read More
