Fireball over Catron County New Mexico seen across west‎

ARIZONA-At about 8:20 pm on New Year’s Eve, a large fireball was seen by at least dozens of witnesses from Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and California.

The unsubstantiated landing site of the suspected meteorite is estimated to be near the San Augustine plains in Catron County, New Mexico.

Robert Ward, an independent meteorite hunter from Prescott who works with Universities and science laboratories, is looking for witnesses who saw the fireball, saw it break up, heard a sonic boom, or who find any pieces of the rock from space. Source
