A 13-year-old boy has died after a shooting incident in Oxfordshire, police have said.
The teenager suffered "a life-threatening injury" at a house in Souldern, near Bicester, yesterday morning.
He died at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford today, while his family were by his side.
The boy's father is believed to be a colonel at the US Air Force base in nearby RAF Croughton.
It is thought the boy suffered head injuries.
A police spokeswoman said: "A 13-year-old boy at the address had suffered what is described as a life-threatening injury.
"While the exact circumstances are as yet unclear, this incident is not being treated as suspicious."
The matter has been passed to the Oxford coroner.
The spokeswoman added: "Thames Valley Police is continuing in its inquiries to help the family establish what has happened.
"It is believed there is no third-party involvement and so no one is being sought in relation to the incident." Source
