Eleven Held Over Oxford Street Killing - 27th Dec 2011

Police say 11 people are being held in custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy in London's Oxford Street.

The 18-year-old was attacked at around 1.45pm when the street was packed with thousands of people taking advantage of the Boxing Day sales.

Amateur video footage given to Sky News by a viewer shows hundreds of people apparently watching as police and paramedics try to save the victim's life.

The footage shows medical staff trying to revive the teenager by pressing down on his chest as he lies on the pavement.

Shouts of "I'm just trying to help him" can be heard as police push back youths to allow paramedics to treat the victim.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Read More
