Anuj Bidve: Third Arrest Over Student's Shooting Death - 27th Dec 2011

Police have made a third arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of an Indian student in Salford on Boxing Day.

Greater Manchester Police said an adult male was arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held in custody for questioning, along with two other teenage suspects.

Anuj Bidve was attacked as he walked with friends from their hotel in Salford towards Manchester city centre in the early hours of Monday.

The 23-year-old was shot in the head at point blank range and died in hospital a short time later.

In a statement, his family said on Tuesday evening: "Anuj was a loving son, a super caring brother and first and forever friend for many.
