Welcome to the end results of fracking and deep well drilling for natural gas.
Felt in Sandusky, OH...
Please tell me again that these injection wells are not causing these earthquakes!!!!!!! We live in Cornersburg and it was so intense that it shook the house and knocked the iron off the ironing board. I'd say that a 4.0 quake is enough to get anyones attention. Hope that there were no injuries or damage. It's just alittle early to bring in the New Year with a "BOOM".
Felt in Canfield, Ohio....oh drill baby drill.....come on EPA!
We were sitting here in Niles and felt it pretty good.I thought the grandkids were jumping on the floor above us till I noticed the difference.
I am on the boarder of Youngstown, Struthers , Boardman, Poland. My house shook so much I had 3 pictures fall off the shelf. I thought my furnace blew up or the neighbors house blew up I didnt know what way to go.
I was at my shop in Youngstown when it hit. I thought a truck had crashed into the building. When I went outside to see what had happened, all the neighbors were outside trying to figure out what had happened?? I was about 2 miles from where they say it originated and it was pretty frightening. Got my attention!
People need to do their research before they start putting the blame on the fracking industry. Do you think range resources inc. would really put their rear ends on the line, and do things half-assess, and cause the earth problems? I think not. People sre blaming the tracking industry for anything and everything that they can, the earths going to end because of it, the ice caps are melting due to fracking, give me a break, do your research, fracking doesn't take place far enough under the earths surface for it to cause these problems. But people want to blame someone, so I'm surprised.
