Katia Zatuliveter the Russian Aide Accused Of Spying Can Stay In UK - 29th Nov 2011

Alleged Russian spy and former parliamentary aide Katia Zatuliveter has won her fight to remain in the UK.

The 26-year-old convinced the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (Siac) that she was not working with Russian spies while employed by MP Mike Hancock, with whom she had a four-year affair.

However the commission's 28-page ruling left open the small possibility that Miss Zatuliveter might be a Russian agent.

"We cannot exclude the possibility that we have been gulled," the report from judge John Mitting stated.
