The San Diego Sheriff's Department is willing to reopen the Rebecca Zahau case if they get a new lead.

The department ruled the death of the woman found hanging at billionaire Jonah Shacknai's mansion a suicide last week.Zahau was found dead two days after her boyfriend's son died in her care.

The latest comments come just two days after medical examiners revealed that she had blood on her inner thighs when her dead body was discovered.

Lt. Larry Nesbit of the San Diego Sheriff's Department told RadarOnline.com: 'If we get a new lead in the Zahau case, or a new witness comes forward, we would absolutely look into. Just because we made our findings last week that her death was a suicide, doesn't mean that if new evidence was presented to us, that we wouldn't look into.

'We would have an obligation to do so. it's really a matter of semantics, just because we said the case was closed on Friday, doesn't mean that we wouldn't open the investigation again.' Read More

NOTE: In other words the case will stay closed until their findings are proved a farce or challenged.
