A mass grave containing the bodies of more than 1,200 people has been found in Tripoli, Libya's interim government has said. The National Transitional Council said the graves are believed to be that of the victims of the 1996 Abu Salim prison massacre.
Muammar Gaddafi's forces are blamed for killing 1,270 inmates at the jail.
