Guatemala's National Coordinator for the Reduction of Disasters, known as CONRED, reported that the landslide happened early Tuesday morning in Barillas, Huehuetenango, a department in western Guatemala.
The wall of mud and rock killed three people and 10 are missing, said David De Leon Villeda, a CONRED spokesman. The victims were children, ages 4, 6 and 7, he said. They were siblings.
Rescue personnel are on the scene searching for survivors.
The landslide buried four houses, CONRED said. Source
