Britain is braced for another day of storms as the remnants of Hurricane Katia continue to batter vast swathes of the country today.Severe weather warnings have been issued for Scotland and northern England, with winds expected to reach 60mph later in the day.
The continued disruption comes the day after the country was hit by its worst storms for 15 years.
Towering higher than the nearby farmhouse and dwarfing this unfortunate car, a blast of spray is thrown into the sky from the huge wave pummelling the sea wall below.
The wave, which measured almost 12ft, was at Allonby in Cumbria where the wind was 70mph, on top of the highest tide of the month. Read More
