A woman dubbed the Bad Hair Bandit, who is wanted for 18 bank robberies in two states, has struck again, police believe.The robbery of a bank in Butte, Montana, on Thursday morning was similar to several committed by the woman.
A heavy-set woman wearing a wig entered the bank just before 10am and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The robber implied she had a gun, but no weapon was produced in the robbery.
It was the same scenario at all the other banks.
The woman is as the known as the Bad Hair Bandit because she wears a variety of unattractive wigs during the robberies.
Sheriff John Walsh said the woman left with an undisclosed amount of cash and the robbery remains under investigation.
'I couldn't confirm she (Bad Hair Bandit) is involved, but it certainly has potential,' Mr Walsh told The Montana Standard on Friday. Read More
