A magnitude 4.4 earthquake has struck the Caucasus Region, Russia at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the quake hit at 12:05:22 UTC Wednesday 24th August 2011.
The epicenter was 21 km ( 13 miles) Northeast of Makhachkala, Russia
