Body count reaches NINE: New set of human remains found in 'Craigslist ripper' hunt - 12th Apr 2011

The partial human remains of a ninth person have been found by police hunting for victims of the 'Craigslist Ripper'.

Officers searching scrub land and bushes on the North side of Ocean Parkway, Long Island, made the grim discovery earlier this morning.

The news comes after it emerged that one of the nine sets of remains belonged to a child.

They were found last week among four sets of bodies several miles away from where the bodies of four prostitutes were located last December.

But the victim may not be related to the other New York murders as this ‘would not fit a serial killer’s pattern’, according to law enforcement sources.

‘One doesn't match the others. It's a young person, possibly as young as an infant, or a child,’ an investigation source told the New York Post. Read More
